What brought you to Toastmasters?
My neice asked me to do a reading at her wedding. I really wanted to, but I have a fear of public speaking. I was also to train as a Celebrant, but the same fear was holding me back. I decided to go to Toastmasters so that I could speak at my Niece’s wedding.
How has Toastmasters helped you?
Toastmasters has grown my Confidence which was my major stumbling block. I enjoy the format of the meetings and I am now the Club VP Education.
How has it helped you outside Toastmasters?
I spoke at my Nieces wedding. I have enrolled into Celebrant Training. Completed two weddings and a funeral. I am now able to facilitate community meetings at work, thanks to OREWA Lunchtime Toastmasters
