CONFUSED ABOUT Pathways?
You’re not alone! The most common question (not always from new Toastmasters) is “What path is right for me – and why is that one right?”.
Many members understand the ideas behind Pathways but need help in tying the whole programme together. To try and help, members and Districts have put additional material together. This page is a summary of that material that members have found useful and that is the only reason it appears on this page. Pathways Resources
Pathways consists of “Learning Paths”, and each path has its own set of projects. All members can choose at least one free path; while TI has a lot of information about doing this, several Districts, including our own, have published resources aimed at minimising the amount of reading while deciding which path to choose.

- Learn from those dedicated to making Pathways work – I was looking for a simple resource to help me choose a path and found some great tips here, but there is much more. Take time to explore the postings for each month.
- How to choose a path – an article from the last item that gives some really useful tips
- Paths and Projects Matrix, a booklet compiled by D72 PDG Alun Chisholm (please read the explanation on the first page)
- Speech Objectives, also compiled by Alun Chisholm – this extends the booklet for the “traditional” programme to Pathways.
